Dendrobium Gina Perlite 'Crystal White'

This beautiful hybrid of the tiny Dendrobium cuthbertsonii and the hard-to-grow Dendrobium prasinum is seldom out of bloom and is much easier to grow and more warmth tolerant than either of the parents.  It is a slightly larger plant than Dendrobium cuthbertsonii and the leaves have only a hint of the "pebbled" surface of the leaves of that species.  Why this plant's clonal name is 'Crystal White' I do not know since the flowers are a soft yellow color.

    1. Thanks, Angel. Love the pale yellow color of this hybrid, though I understand it come out in other colors as well.

  2. Fantastic as always Ron! This is one of the cuth crosses I still don't have and in my opinion- the better of the bunch.

    1. Not necessary, but I don't mind trading. I'm going to make a couple of divisions when I repot it in the next few weeks.

    1. With my usual lack of organization, I can't find your email address or your home address, so you'd better email me with them. I'm starting to repot things and should have the division before long.

    1. This came from Tom Perlite at Golden Gate Orchids in San Francisco. I am not sure he is still in business or whether he has any of these or even whether it's possible to get hold of him, but that's the best information I can give you.
